Control and restrict the number of times your QR code can be scanned.
Why Use Scan Limits?

Types of Scan Limits
Total Scans: Maximum number of scans across all users.
Per User: Maximum scans per unique device/user.
Per Time Period: Limit scans per hour, day, or week.
Setting Up Scan Limits
- Open QR code settings
- Go to Security tab
- Enable Scan Limits
- Choose limit type
- Set threshold
- Configure behavior after limit
Limit Behaviors
Hard Stop:
- QR code becomes inactive
- Shows "Limit Reached" message
- No further access allowed
Waitlist:
- Collect email addresses
- Notify when limit resets
- Good for high-demand offers
Alternative Content:
- Redirect to different page
- Show coming back info
- Collect interest
Per-User Limits
Device Tracking: Based on device fingerprint and IP.
Use Cases:
- One discount per customer
- Prevent bulk redemption

Settings:
- 1 scan per user (one-time use)
- 3 scans per user (allow retries)
- 10 scans per user (generous access)
Time-Based Limits
Rate Limiting: Prevent rapid-fire scanning.

Reset Options
Manual Reset: Admin can reset counter anytime.
Scheduled Reset:
- Daily at midnight
- Weekly on Monday
- Monthly on 1st
- Custom schedule
Auto-Reset: After expiration or specific date.
Monitoring
Real-Time Counter: See current scan count vs limit.
Alerts: Get notified at:
- 50% capacity
- 75% capacity
- 90% capacity
- 100% capacity
Analytics: Track rejected scans and patterns.
