File Format Selection
Vector Formats (Recommended):
- SVG - Best for most print applications
- EPS - Professional design workflows
- PDF - Print shop delivery
Raster Formats:
- PNG - High resolution (600+ DPI)
- JPG - Avoid if possible (compression artifacts)
Size Requirements
Minimum Sizes:
- Business cards: 0.8 inches (2 cm)
- Flyers/brochures: 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm)
- Posters: 2-4 inches (5-10 cm)
- Banners: 6-12 inches (15-30 cm)
- Billboards: Calculate viewing distance ÷ 10
Scanning Distance Formula: QR code size = Scanning distance ÷ 10
Example: 10 feet away = 12 inches minimum
Resolution Guidelines
Print Quality:
- Minimum: 300 DPI
- Recommended: 600 DPI
- Large format: 150-300 DPI acceptable
